Update
Gosh, almost two months since I last blogged. Well, what can I say – I need a holiday.
On the bright side, I’m been pretty busy for most of those weekends with Linux meetings, friends moving house, visiting other friends (including an airshow – haven’t been to one for about 15-20 years, followed by building a huge climbing frame).
I’m also trying to get back into the swing of things which has been steadily declining since Uni. Work unfortunately precludes me from getting neck deep in code until the early hours of the morning and then waking up “whenever”. However I’ve started to go swimming and get more Linux stuff done.
I’ve hacked on the Humax driver some more, so I can now pull off files, but it’s a bit dodgy – I need to find a USB guru to talk to I suspect since the driver seeems to do things completely out of spec. Ho hum.
A little while ago I fixed up a couple of bugs in the postscript code for the HantsLUG badge generator that Hugo wrote. That took about an hour or two to get back into “how to read/write postscript” (again, Uni days), then slighly less time to track the bug down and fix it (the other bug was found in about 30 seconds).
Workload at work is such that I doubt I’ll be taking a holiday until October, but will hopefully be having a walking holiday in Wales.
