James I share your pain. Fortunately it’s been pretty quiet recently, however I generally get a batch of people phoning every few months.

It was particularly bad after I started my job. “Oh, but I found your CV on $random_job_site”. Which really really annoyed me - I had put my CV up on two sites and removed them when I got my new job. But it appears that other job sites crawl these, and don’t keep updated.

Then I started getting people mentioning that they had found it on my website, so I put a large “I’m not looking” notice at the top of the web page. That didn’t help much either. OTOH given the intelligence that some seem agencies display in matching CVs with job requirements I shouldn’t be surprised.
