Rip off merchants
PC world that is.
I’m just ordering some network cables as we are almost out at work and need some more. I’m also putting in a “test DMZ” as we have really vicious firewall rules (as they should be) to our main DMZ. We’d like to slacken these rules to test boxes, whilst still allowing various services through from the outside world.
Novatech a nice and close. £4.50 for a 0.5m naff cable. £6.82 for snagless.
PC World however want an eye-watering £20 for a 1M (snagless) cable.
[http://www.network-cabling.co.uk/store/cat5e-rj45-patch-lead-booted-05m-grey-p-660.html Network-cabling] however start from a much more reasonable £0.65 (+VAT) for 0.5m snagless. If only they sold them in multipacks
