IKEA FAIL
So we have a new IKEA store relatively nearby (Southampton). I think the traffic to get there is going to be dreadful (it always was bad to get there when I lived in Chandlers Ford).

Heated grips
First ride out on the bike since mid-December, nice ride up the back roads to Sandhurst and back again. Started to drizzle on the way back (first time out in the rain).

Another Linux desktop
Over Christmas I performed the usual “maintenance” work on my parents PC (which computer literate person doesn’t!) One job was to move it to a larger hard disk. They were using Windows (they needed Quicken a while back), so I copied the disk over and er, Windows failed to let them log in. [...]

Bully nation
Well just plain terrorist state really. Israel of course.
“Disproportionate response” - in other words not an appropriate response. Even they admit it.
Killing 1300 Palestinians (vs 10 Israelis) is disgusting. Bombing schools, children, UN buildings including during a ceasefire. Blocking humanitarian aid. Preventing journalists from seeing what is really going on. [...]
